Eazy Pod Complete

Water from the pond enters the EazyPod Complete via the inlet, cascading around the 18 Watt UV-C bulb, where any algae will be exposed to the UV-C radiation. The water then flows around the circumference of the outer chamber of the EazyPod Complete, passing through the stainless steel grill causing many of the larger solids to be filtered out and settle in the base of the outer chamber. This is the first stage of mechanical filtration. As water enters the central chamber, through the stainless steel grill, the fine smaller solids become trapped in the mass of K1 Media. Bio-films build up on the protected surface area within each piece of media, allowing biological filtration to take place. After passing through the K1 Media, the clean water then rises and overflows into the inner return pipe and flows back to the pond via the outlet. The EazyPod Complete is incredibly simple to clean. The connected air pump is used during the cleaning cycle to agitate the K1 Media to free up any debris and waste that has built up within the filter. ? Mechanical, biological and ultraviolet filtration ? For the ultimate in clarity and ease of use ? Simple to install, easy to maintain ? Available in Granite Green or Grey colour ? 580mm (w) x 655mm (h) x 710mm (d) ? EazyPod and EazyPodAir models also available

Water Filtration

The best way to keep your fish healthy is to create an environment which is clean, healthy and balanced. If you are thinking about filtration – these are different options available.

Different Types of Filtration

Mechanical Filtration

Mechanical filtration systems ,remove debris from the pond water, by trapping it into the filter media.

Biological Filtration

Biological Filters help create beneficial bacteria, which will remove harmful pollutants from the pond water.  The beneficial bacteria help create a balanced environment, to promote the nitrification cycle, the end product we are aiming for is nitrate.

Different Types of Filtration Set Ups

Gravity Fed System

A gravity fed filters, pushes pond water through the bottom drain and enters the filter along a length of pre-laid solid pipe. Water is pulled from the filter, which is installed at the same level as the pond, by a pump, then is passed through a ultra violet clarifier, before returning to the pond.

Pump Fed System

A pump fed system, has a pond pump in the pond, water is pumped up into a UV Clarifier, then into the filter and then gravity will return it back into the pond.

Things to consider before embarking on choosing a filtration system

Maintenance i.e. cleaning/ease of cleaning

The size of the system, i.e. does the filter have the capacity to cope with the volume of pond water; you can never over filtrate!!!
Cost of the system, gravity fed systems are more expensive to set up, however the benefits are greater than a pump fed system
